Above Grade Level
Written for the student above-grade-level. The student would be a book
critic for the newspaper, and would have to look at critically at the
Charlotte’s Web and write a review to be published. The article
would have to address the text structure of the story. Items that should
be included are: characterizations, setting, plot, and conflict. The
student would have to use his or her higher order thinking skills and
apply their knowledge of text structure to complete this task.
Grading
The students would be assessed using a grading rubric.
The rubric should include items of text structure: characterizations,
setting, plot, and conflict. The student will be evaluated on creativity,
organization, neatness, and grammatical errors.
