My Philosophy of Education
My philosophy of education is one that reflects on teaching. The profession is more than just a job; it is a calling, an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others. Since I was in fifth grade, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. The idea of being able to spark interest in and open the eyes of students seemed to amazing to me, as it still does today. Teaching is so much more than grading tests and handing out homework; it is the chance to help others discover the thrill of learning. Additionally, is it the chance to impact the lives of others in a way that many others professions cannot. To teach is to share one's knowledge and experiences with others. When teachers teach, it not only has an impact on those who are taught, but on the teachers themselves. Teaching gives people the opportunity to learn from their students just as much as their students learn from them. Through time, communication, and understanding, teachers and students can learn so much from each other and about their world. Teaching is a profession that allows freedom and personal interaction for those who practice it, which gives teachers the chance to connect with people in way many other professionals cannot.
